In the blazing heat of Arizona my brother Quinn and I made a conspire on my older cousin Danny, but we didn’t know that it was going to turn out to be a war, of summer vacation. Playing a trick on her was a mistake, big mistake!
The whole story starts on a regular cold day in Colorado except the twist is it was the last day of Colorado for me and the rest of my family, at least for two exciting weeks in the old house that was like a second home for us. My 4-person family was going, my grandparents, 2 of my older cousins, 2 of my uncles who already lived there, and my two baby cousins were coming later with their mom who came later on because of work. My family and my grandparents were staying at my uncle’s house and the others were staying at my other uncle’s house. Me and my cousin Danny were on our way to getting smacked by our parents she was so load on the plane and I didn’t help because was trying to tell he to be quiet over her own voice, it was like trying to talk over a stampede of elephants. She was making my brother and I laugh, but how much she was talking was getting annoying after 20 minutes of hearing the same story over and over again, she was like the energizer bunny it keeps going and going again.
We all were on the same flight on the way down there so you can imagine how annoyed and irritated I was when I had to sit by her on the 2-hour flight down there. I think my brother was tired of her and he was two rows behind me but she was 16 and what else would you expect. Once we got there I took my luggage off the plane and when and got away from her as fast as I could.
Once we got to the house we say my cousin and she walks up and is still being annoying so me and my brother had a plan to have me lay like a table on my hands and knees and my brother would push her into me and she would fall into the pool. So it was like a tabletop basically. So I got to my place and she walked to my brother and she fell right over the top of me into the water. She gets out of the water and she yells, “What was that for?”
“ For talking an hour non-stop,” we said
“ It wasn’t an hour.” She exclaimed
“ What!” my brother said with anger in his eyes.
“ No she is right, it was for two hours on the entire way here.” I exclaimed.
“ Not true, you are going to pay!” she says with anger in her. We all thought that the water was going to start boiling she was such a hot head.
She was right though, sort of, see she did get us back but we got her again. She and her family cam over and she didn’t say anything to us and came over and picked me us and threw me and my brother right in the water. It was like being thrown by the Hulk. Only she wasn’t green. After I got dry she turn and tries to throw me in again but she won’t get away with it twice on me.
“ Is that the best you got?” I said.
“No! “ She said
She sprints as if she was a famished cheetah in the desert chasing an immense wild buffalo. We were like adversaries now. Then she tries to grab me and I duck in a split seconded she goes over the top of me and I grab her leg so she is on my back ready to be thrown into the water. I threw her into the pool in one fluent motion. SPLASH! She pops out of the water as if she were as mad as if she were a mad person. Next thing I know she was laughing as hard as every one else because we all knew the whole thing was a joke. I help her out of the water and give her a big hug even thought I got soaking wet.
To some other people in the house it might have seemed vague, but at least me Quinn and Danny know what happened that simple day that turned out to make our whole trip a lot more fun. And at least she talked a lot less than before.
